Georgian in date to the 18th century, this petite ring focuses on a rose cut diamond
It is set in a typical mid to earlier 18th century setting with a dome of silver and serrated edges around the base. The precious metal has a technique often termed, cut down, or rub over, setting.
The silver is worked up and over the diamonds of the diamond so that only the top faceted area shown. A later French 18k gold ring has been added in recent years.
