Story
January 27, 1909, marked a special occasion for two people in love.
The interior is engraved with their initials, that date, and a heart with an arrow through it. Additionally, it is fully hallmarked for 18k and the year 1906.
Some of the initials are rubbed, but it appears to be J.H.G. to W.J. with the heart between them. The date in script, "17 Jan '09." appears after.
In 18k yellow gold, the ring displays two diagonal rows of alternating natural sapphires and diamonds. Five of each with the diamonds all old European cuts and one mixed single cut. The sapphire radiate with a lovely Ceylon cornflower blue color and are faceted and round in shape.
