Graceful, light on the ear with an understated grandeur that celebrates the manner, style and refinement of the later Georgian period.
These earrings are all handcrafted in silver (the only white metal of the day) with just a touch of yellow gold at the connecting point of the lowest dangle. Designed with 4 articulated parts, the earrings are encrusted with rose cut diamonds.
The surmounts each have a diamond as does the pendulum center. Both are set in a rub over, crimped collets often utilized during the period.
Rose cut diamonds dot the perimeter of the outer dangle, and down the center of the pendulum as well as in the bottom leaf motif frill.
The diamonds rest in mounds of silver with closed backs with foil beneath each stone to add to the reflection and refraction of the diamonds.
The reverse is just as inviting, the hand work evident in the fine finishing of the silver, the slightly bulbous, tactile artistry.
