SPECIAL MARKDOWN - EXCEPTIONAL VALUE!

A superb and glittery natural, imperial topaz Georgian brooch comes down to us from the 18th century.

All the gemstones are original and gleam and shine as if newly made. Each is foiled and set closed backed in 18k gold.

All hand cut and unusually shaped pastes, with the center a round, it is rare that it is in high carat gold. A feature of 18th century jewelry is the top bezels that are almond or eye shapes with a pinch at the end.

Petite and wearable, this may have been part of a large jewel although no evidence remains of other fittings.
