Story
The Mexican fire opal has a background color that reminds the viewer of staring into the flickering flames of a wood burning fireplace.
The 2.10 carat cabochon featured here has a deep orangey red hue. Not all of these fire opals have that famous “play of color”. Fortunately, this one does and radiates with vivid neon green, yellow and various orange tones as you move.
Shoulders are embellished with two single cut diamonds, total weight of .04 carats (H-I color; VS2-SI1 clarity) each set in 10k white gold triangle shaped bezels accented with incised borders.
A simple 10k yellow gold mounting complements both the color and style of the fire opal.
