Story
A Christmas gift of decades past...Sentimental secrets await with this Art Deco 10k yellow gold ring. Lovely standing alone as a three stone ring…mystery lies within.
The piece displays the typical combination of a diamond with sapphires for the Art Deco years with a transitional diamond of .05 carats (I-J color; SI1-2 clarity) flanked on each side by a .30 carat square cut synthetic sapphire, total of .60 carats. The gems, set in individual white gold bezels with mille grain accents, take on a horizontal profile.
By gently moving the gems to the sides, these “closed doors” reveal a three band gimmel ring with secret double heart elements. Each is engraved with an initial — the one on the right has an “H” and the other “B”.
The top band of the triple shank is engraved with “12-25-38”, indicating Christmas Day, 1938. The outer bands have smooth perimeters with the inner appointed with a scalloped edge.
