Diamonds, diamonds and more diamonds…resting gracefully on the finger, an old mine cut diamond of 1.15 carats gleams with H-I color and SI1 clarity. Set in a mille grain bezel, the centered diamond virtually floats above a ring of twelve (12) old European cut diamonds.
Flanking the old mine cut are two (2) French cut diamonds of .08 carats (F-G color; VS clarity). These cuts have a crown which appears square when viewed from above and has just 9 crown facets within the square. Challenging to produce, their faceted corners give them a distinctive extra pizzazz.
Each split shoulder is embellished with four (4) old European cut diamonds (eight in total) and contained within a mille grain accented cartouche. In all, there are twenty (20) old European cut diamonds with a total weight of .27 carats (H-J color range; VS2-SI1 clarity), two (2) French cut diamonds of .08 carats and an old mine cut diamond of 1.15 carats for a grand total of 1.5 carats for a spectacular diamond platinum ring. Engagement worthy, certainly but unique enough to be a ring for one's self.
