Story

Champagne, s'il vous plaît – for the diamond that is. A most beautiful mounting deserves a toast as well. Appointed with images of four birds immersed within flowers, 18k white gold open work holds a glass up high in honor of a champagne old mine cut diamond of an estimated .53 carats (L-M color; SI1 clarity). The diamond appears to be floating within the setting secured only by four fancy prongs barely caressing the surface of the diamond. Pierced designs accent the shoulders and sides impressed with delicate patterning. The details and intricacy of the mounting is bar none, just entrancing. Its avian motifs are symbolic of love birds soaring the skies together, forever.

Date: Circa 1920.
