Story

In plique-à-jour, transparent enamels are set within a pierced metal framework resembling stained glass. With no backing on the finished product, the panels of enamel allow light to shine through. Popular during the Art Nouveau period, the technique is quite unusual to find in a ring.

Here in homage to Art Nouveau is a 20th century interpretation using both manner and style in translation. With dynamic movement, sensuous curves and flowing lines, 18k yellow gold has been persuaded to take on the guise of a stylized floral form virtually languid in presentation.

The deep forest green hues of the enamel add to the fecundity inherent in the concept. A diamond-set flowerhead works in opposition with diamond studded vines of gold twisting about and as they transform into the shank of the ring. In all, fifteen (15) white and shimmering single cut diamonds of a total estimated .20 carats add to the sensuality of the deeply toned green color.
