Story

Oh, the glorious saga of the cluster ring…from the fingers of Louis XVI to cocktail and dinner rings on the hands of everyday people. Always breathtaking, this form of the ring features a large central gem surrounded by an areola of smaller stones.

In this classic example, a marvelous natural medium deep blue aquamarine of an approximate 1.7 carats has been faceted and centrally placed within a bezel of 14k yellow gold. A shimmering white frame of twelve (12) old mine cut diamonds of an estimated .72 carats (J-L color range; SI1 clarity) is set in icy white platinum resting upon a carriage of 14k yellow gold. Delicate details embellish a sleek shank of silken yellow gold.

Date: Circa 1920.
