Story

Perfection personified it is! In this this superb Edwardian platinum ring set with a round cushion cut diamond (with slightly squared edges) of 1.53 carats. Whiter than white in an F color and with VS1 clarity you will see nothing but sheer dazzle in this diamond. The main diamond is not only marvelous but is unusual with a facet structure which maximizes visual size to appear as almost 2.25 carats (or more!) of pure white geometry! In addition, the diamond is exceedingly brilliant because of its specific cut. All in all, you have never seen a diamond such as this one – nor will you find another especially in an antique diamond of this size with very high color and clarity.

The magnificent diamond is set within an equally radiant mille grained platinum setting of very fine metal work embellished with twenty-four (24) old cut and old single cut diamonds. This type of Edwardian mount, highly coveted and prized is quite scarce in today’s market.

GIA certificate for the center diamond accompanies this ring.

Date: Circa 1915.
