Story

Originally developed in the early 20th century, the Asscher diamond has a square or rectangular cut which shows off its depth and has wide step facets and clipped corners. Typically these cuts create more fire and brilliance.

The eye is immediately drawn into this central Asscher cut diamond with an actual carat weight of .49 carats (F color; VVS2 clarity) set within an 18k white gold mount. The stylish horizontal profile is emphasized with the two (2) old European cut and single cut diamonds on each side with an additional .10 carats of estimated weight. The color range of these accent diamonds show white at a range of J-K and SI1 clarity. Lovely mille grain and fine detailing accentuate the pristine white gold mount.

The ring is accompanied by an EGL certificate for the main diamond with a retail value of $3130 for only the main diamond.

Date: Mid 20th century.
