Story

Cluster rings have been in existence for hundreds of years. These gem set beauties make a dramatic and impressive statement upon the finger. Those from the Georgian era are particularly evocative with their antique diamonds and manner of setting.

A flowerhead cluster of nine (9) hand cut rose cut diamonds foiled and set closed back in silver over 14k yellow gold in the typical period fashion stars in this blockbuster of a finger ring. Emanating like a sunburst a large central diamond shoots out eight rays of silver set diamonds.

Each gem is set with a rub over collet of silver; the cluster is placed within a ridge crimped collet with a scalloped perimeter. Curvaceous divided shoulders display vestiges of original designs and highlights. Although diamond weight in this ring cannot be accurately determined due to their mountings, visually they appear to be about 1.10 carats. Moreover, in all likelihood the actual diamond weight is less as rose cuts have flat backs.

Date: Circa 1800.

Important: This ring should not be in water for an extended period of time nor exposed to other liquids, cleaning products or harsh chemicals. If considering as an engagement ring, please keep this in mind.
