Amazing repoussé work featuring floral and scroll forms with a three dimensional quality combine with the delicate 15k yellow gold cannetille filigree for an impressive and smashing pair of earrings relatively light in weight on the ear.

Date: Circa 1840.

Measurements: 2-1/4 inches (5.6 cm) in length including ear wire by 3/4 of an inch (2 cm) in width. Weight of 8.7 grams (dwt) for the pair.

Condition: Excellent for their age; amethysts are fine; ear surmounts (tops) not original to earrings but are a superb match and of the period or just slightly later. Modern 14k yellow gold ear wires.

Origin: Possibly English.

Note: Stones have not been removed from their mounts to preserve the integrity of the setting. Gemstone weights have been approximated by measurement and formula and may vary from actual weights.
