Story

From deep within the earth some of the world’s greatest gems wait to be uncovered. Diamonds and turquoise are just a few of the precious treasures which lie hidden from sight only to be unearthed from tons of materials.

A horizontal profile sets this late 19th century 10k yellow gold ring in a category separate from its peers. Soft undulations characterize a perimeter of sixteen (16) old mine cut diamonds with an estimated total weight of .50 carats. Very brilliant for their size, the diamonds form a surround for a trio of cabochons. Evenly matched for color and size, two of the three stones are actually paste and one is precious turquoise. All three of the cabochons appear to be original to the antique ring and have maintained a beautiful vivid robin’s egg blue color through the years.

Date: Circa 1890.
