Story

Fine Edwardian jewelry hearkened back to the ornate and bejeweled fashion of the 18th century. Diamonds, of course were essential and often paired with pearls and always with an elegance few other styles could capture.

An understated sophistication permeates this pair of platinum pendant earrings. Articulated from the old European cut diamond surmount to the two (2) single cuts in platinum collets and down to the diamond-studded platinum cap topping the natural saltwater baroque pearl teardrop. The caps are set with a total of sixty-three (63) single cut diamonds for an estimated total weight of 1.0 carats for the pair. One of the pearls is approximately 8 mm by 9 mm by 12 mm and the other measures about 9 mm by 10 mm by 12 mm.

Accompanied by gemological lab certificate from the GIA (see "Measurements & More") for the pearls.

Date: Circa 1910.

THE FINE PRINT

Due to the nature of antique & vintage jewelry, many diamond and gemstone weights are calculated by measurements, not removed. Actual weights are noted in the item's description. Grading of diamonds and gemstones may vary slightly when removed.

HONESTY

Being as honest as possible about the items we represent for sale is our ultimate goal! Our pricing is industry recognized as fair and equitable with value as the byword.

Measurements: 1-1/8 inches (2.9 cm) in length by 3/8 of an inch (1 cm) in width. Weight of 5.4 grams (3.4 dwt) for the pair including ear nuts.

Condition: Excellent; later post ear fittings.

Note 1: Comes with a Gemological Institute of America (GIA) certificate stating that the pearls are natural.

Note 2: Diamonds have not been removed from their mounts to preserve the integrity of the setting. All diamond weights have been approximated by measurement and formula and may vary from actual weights.
