Story

The cluster ring is a classic. Typically in the form of a flowerhead or oval, this Edwardian version takes the form to new heights. A glorious water opal, 1.9 carats in weight and 9.2 mm in diameter is cut en cabochon. Electric bolts of orange and flashes of green permeate floating clouds of white in a cacophony of visual delight. The gem is set within a simple 18k yellow gold bezel appointed with nice detailing.

A scalloped surround of twenty (20) old mine cut, two (2) single cut and one (1) old European cut diamonds is set in a platinum topped 18k yellow gold mount. Each shoulder is ornamented with three (3) rose cut diamonds (a total of six) placed in an arrow shaped platinum cartouche touched with mille grained edges. In all, the diamonds have an estimated carat weight of .65 carats (I-L color range; SI clarity). An 18k yellow gold gallery and shank finish the striking period ring.

Date: Circa 1915.
