Story

A heart shaped locket is detailed with an array of petite cabochon natural turquoise across its curved surface. Turquoise is one of the few gems which, over time and with handling changes color. Once fingers have gently stroked the surface, hues mellow and shift and the eye can pick up a myriad of color variations. With the original bale also dotted with turquoise, the reverse of the locket has a glass covered compartment. All in rose gold vermeil over silver the circa 1880 locket is a standout.
