Story

In addition to having the distinction of one of the first American jewelry manufacturing firms to develop and use white gold, the New York firm of the Belais Brothers is known for its elegant and finely crafted jewelry settings. Their pieces are quite sought after and highly collectible.

Superb in the manner in which only a Belais designed mount can be, is this 18k white gold ring circa 1930. Defining Art Deco with its all white theme, stepped architectural components and finely appointed detailing, the ring features an old European cut diamond of about .60 carats (H-I color; VS2 clarity).

The gem is placed in an elevated square setting with square cut-outs on the north and south edge. Flanking the centered diamond and in stepped design are two (2) single cut diamonds in double mille grain edged settings. The gallery presents a study in the use of open gold work and fine craftsmanship. Appointed with finesse, every section of the period Art Deco ring has been addressed.
