THE FINE PRINT

Due to the nature of antique & vintage jewelry, many diamond and gemstone weights are calculated by measurements, not removed. Actual weights are noted in the item’s description. Grading of diamonds and gemstones may vary slightly when removed.

HONESTY

Being as honest as possible about the items we represent for sale is our ultimate goal! Our pricing is industry recognized as fair and equitable with value as the byword.

Measurements: Petite at 3/16 of an inch (0.6 cm). Weight of 0.7 grams (0.4 dwt) for the pair.

Condition: Excellent.

Date: Circa 1950.

Note: All diamond weights are approximate as the stones have not been removed in order to preserve the integrity of the setting.

*According to Newman’s “An Illustrated Dictionary of Jewelry” an illusion setting is when a stone is placed in a collet of reflective and brightly burnished metal and the metal edges are cut or shaped and then bent around the stone create the illusion of being part of the gem.
