Story

This Art Deco 18k yellow gold ring is handsome and august with the face of the ring displaying an applied plaque demarcated with an escutcheon or shield with armorial bearings. The stylized image of a stag and a tiny inset accent diamond are also elements of the shield.

Upon a foliate field rests a shield with a bend indented, i.e. a diagonal band marked with a saw tooth pattern. The face of the shield is etched with thin diagonal lines that represent the color green. Above the shield is the helm — typically a representation of a certain style of helmet. This one in profile is symbolic of a gentleman or an Esquire.

Robust shoulders are embellished with ornate flourishes and floral designs contained within a cartouche. Detailed engraving defines attention to detail to a finely crafted man’s ring.
