Elaborately engraved to the reverse are the entwined letters for the monogram, "PE" and "de" for the beginning of a last name. So either P de E... or E de P in gorgeous flamboyant hand engraving.
The interior has a place for one photo or lock of hair with the original rim and replaced plastic cover.
