When science and technology combine with art, and art merges with adornment...
Presenting an outstanding Art Nouveau women's Swiss dress watch with a profusion of flora serving as the inspiration.
In 18k yellow gold, the cover depicts sinuous acanthus leaves that flow across the surface. This pierced work cover acts as a screen revealing the robin's egg blue enamel underneath. This is also hinged and lifts to reveal the inner workings of the pocket watch from Golay Fils & Stahl.
The other side reveals the white enamel watch face handpainted with gold and with silver dots for the 5-second increment marks.
An inner second-hand dial rests at the bottom.
A carved and textured trefoil crown or handle pivots above the gold crown. A small gold bump encases a pin for setting the watch.
The watch is decorative and would require servicing to run or keep accurate time. Contact us for more information.
