Victorian in date of 1881, the aesthetic movement influenced is depiction of nature. Its leaves and flowers are rendered in rose and yellow gold over sterling silver and silver. Everywhere you look, more foral reeds and plants spring upward.
The border is rose gold and the perimeter a striking scalloped pattern with a multitude of orbs or silver beadwork.
The interior holds two photographs complete with the original rims and glass covers. The reverse shows a partial English registry mark for the year 1881 and a maker of H&N, possibly Hollis & Newman silversmiths.
The reverse is plain except for the registry mark and maker's mark. The original bale is still retained on the top.
