Story
Georgian and in superb condition, this is a ring to cherish. All of natural saltwater pearls, rubies and a diamond, it was hand made with loving care.
Dating to circa 1830-40, there are 10 varied in sized natural half pearls. White, lustrous and with a sheen that cannot be matched by cultured pearls, they adorn the sides and top of the ring.
Four natural red not pink rubies with a total .20 carats, set off the old mine cut diamond at the center (.15 carats). It is set in a crimped collet of silver, the rest of the ring is 18k yellow gold.
Bifurcated shoulders with that quintessential English Georgian shank of ornate and deeply worked scrolling gold. the reverse reveals a class covered compartment holding a plait of tightly woven brown hair.
