Story
A luscious amethyst and delicate natural pearl work have been lovingly crafted into a pendant well over 100 years ago.
Dating to the Edwardian period, a splendid round faceted aubergine purple amethyst of 20 mm across and a weight of 18.5 carats graces the center of this jewel.
Its round perimeter in 14k gold is set with thirty four natural half seed pearl. Rays also set with pearls each attach this to the center.
The original top two fittings are also dotted with more pearls, for a total in all of fifty one with each averaging 2.5 mm in diameter. One element creates a flower or star shape, the top a graduated streamlined bale.
