Story

The use of iconic animal figures, such as dragons, elk, serpents and the like have been part of the history of jewelry for eons. Often employed as amulets or talisman to offer protection, these realistic and fantasy images can represent power, strength and wisdom.

Converted from the stick pin of an Edwardian dandy whose sartorial repartee was second to none comes this striking 10k yellow gold lion head pendant. Realistically rendered, flashing eyes are set with two old European cut diamonds, total weight of .04 carats (I-J color; SI clarity).

Clenching his jaws and roaring with a ferocity only the King of the Jungle could muster, a round faceted garnet of .15 carats is held between enormous teeth.

A modern 10k yellow gold curb chain is attached to affixed “O” fittings on the head of the beast.
