Story
The Victorian era was known for its fantastic lockets and chains. Virtually every woman had at least one of each. The ones we present here were most likely made separately and paired together at a later time. Nonetheless, BOTH the locket and chain are simply the best that The Three Graces has ever offered.
The bookchain necklace was so named because its square or rectangular metal links were folded over like a little book. Quite ornate, this sterling silver necklace is composed of decorative engraved links with connectors accented with alternating yellow and rose gold over silver butterfly appliqués. A spring clasp suspends the locket.
The large oval sterling silver picture locket is uber fabulous. Very august in weight, the front is centered with an open work stylized heart element with a small heart medallion enveloping a basket pattern. The larger heart has scroll motifs and C-forms outlining the perimeter. Radiating out from the heart are linear appliqués of rose gold interspersed with raised orbs of silver and yellow gold over silver. An intricate and matching bale is affixed to the apex. Superlative.
