South American flair gets you the bull’s eye with this modern target ring of platinum. Smack dab in the middle is a gorgeous transitional cut diamond of an actual .70 carats known weight (I-J color; SI1 clarity for one minute table inclusion only visible with magnification). The central stone with its great brilliance and fire is surrounded by a boldly colored border of eighteen (18) shaped channel set sapphires. All supported by a beautiful “basket” type gallery of openwork platinum design. An additional .08 carats of diamond weight in the form of six (6) single cuts accents the shoulders detailed with mille grain decoration.
Date: Modern; diamond is mid 20th century.
Measurements: 3/8 of an inch (0.9 cm) in length north to south on the hand and rises 1/4 of an inch (0.6 cm) in height off the finger. Weight of 3.4 grams (2.2 dwt).
