Brilliance in a 1.25 carat Diamond Engagement Ring
Outstanding and dramatic upon first sight, all eyes are focused this platinum ring with an accurate 1.25 carat old European cut brilliant diamond (L color; VS1 clarity) as the main gemstone. Set in a platinum mount with open “W” and triangle configurations on the top and bottom, the early 20th century gem is secured with four platinum prongs designed to allow the maximum amount of light to enter into and refract from each surface facet.
Angled shoulders are appointed with six (6) single cut diamonds for an additional total diamond of .10 carats bringing the circa mid 20th century ring to a 1.35 carats of diamond weight. Accompanied by a by gemological lab certificate from the GIA (see "Measurements & More").
Measurements: 5/16 of an inch (0.7 cm) in length north to south on the hand and rises 1/4 of an inch (0.6 cm) in height off the finger. Weight of 3.1 grams (2.0 dwt).
Ring Size: US 6-1/4 (UK L-1/2; Int. Dia. 16.75; Euro 53 mm; Japan 12) and can be easily sized to fit most. Ring sizing information.

Date & Origin: Circa mid 20th century with an earlier 20th century central diamond and is American in origin.
Note 1: This ring comes with a Gemological Institute of America (GIA) certificate. The main diamond has been laser inscribed by the GIA.
