Navette Shaped Ruby Diamond Ring
The navette or marquise shaped ring, a popular configuration from around the 1790s was revitalized during the Victorian era and is on the horizon today as a much desired trend-setting form. Quite feminine when worn, this style elongates and slenderizes the finger with its boat-shaped appearance.
The gem-set matrix presents as a prolonged and extended target like design with an almost oval old mine cut diamond (J-K color; SI clarity) as the bulls-eye and eighteen (18) single cut diamonds as the next band and culminating in twenty-eight (28) square calibré-cut rubies of approximately .50 carats. The handmade platinum-topped 18k yellow gold mount sports a lovely pierced and open work under gallery of geometric and floral designs and a complementary narrow band with six (6) old mine cut diamonds accenting the shoulders for a total estimated diamond weight of 1 carat.
Measurements: Just shy of 7/8 of an inch (2.2 cm) in length by 3/8 of an inch (1 cm) in width. Weight of 3.9 grams (2.5 dwt).

Condition: Very good; light wear overall; rubies slightly abraded if viewed with magnification.
