Charming Art Deco Diamond Ring

SOLD Item 11955

This period piece is a sweet engagement ring ready for a couple just starting out or for any aficionado of Art Deco style. The bold geometry of the era stands out with a transitional cut diamond of about .10 carats, J-K color and SI clarity set in a lozenge shaped bezel placed within a hexagon of 14k white gold. The transitional cut diamond is between the Old European cut and the modern brilliant cut of today and usually has a smaller culet and wider table than the older old European cut stone.

The color of the diamond within the white gold mount gives the appearance of a greater carat weight than is stated. The setting itself is lovely with details and an open and pierced under gallery. Each shoulder is finely appointed with a delicate five petal flower motif. The original shank has been replaced with a 9k white gold band.

A genuinely nice ring for a nice price.
