Sleek Old European Diamond Stud Earrings
Two old European cut diamonds are the focus of these early 20th century diamond stud earrings. Each of the diamonds is approximately .15 points for a total diamond weight of .30 carats. Colors are H-I and clarity of I-SI1. Silver-topped 14k gold mounts with a ring of silver surround the diamonds. A millegrain setting enhances each gemstone. Later but early screw posts were added for security.
Measurements: 1/4 of an inch (0.6 cm) in diameter. Weight of 1.4 grams (0.90 dwt) for the pair.
Condition: Very good; addition of early screw posts; one diamond has a minute chip visible with a loupe.
Date & Origin: Circa 1925 and is Continental in origin.
Note: All diamond weights, color grades and clarity are approximate since the stones were not removed from their mounts to preserve the integrity of the setting.
