Charles Perroud, born in Lyon France, worked as a jeweler from 1913 to 1949.

His designs are not as well known in the US, but lately, his series of astrological Zodiac signs in the form of charms and pendants are highly sought after.

And no wonder as the attention to detail and harmonious designs are breathtaking, even with their modest scales.

This is the largest pendant made, there was another smaller size produced (although could easily be worn as a charm or worn in groups).

A scorpion curves around the left side, the glyph is present, the M with an arrow or "tail", and the dates 24 X - 21 XI (for 24th of October, the 10th month to the 21st of November the 11th month.

Just as appealing is the frame that he employed. While it is only slightly raised over the height of the center, the design is an optical illusion that seems to rise upward.
