Story
The story, the history and the mystery around an antique piece of jewelry imbues the piece with an unmistakable aura.
More than the sum of its parts of a fantastic aquamarine, diamonds or platinum is the fact that the setting is engraved from one person to another and dated with the year 1923.
Hand engraved to the interior in script are the initials, I.B.W. and then L.A.S. or similar, and the year 1923. Making it clear this was a token of love and affection nearly 100 years ago.
Superbly crafted in platinum, the mounting contains diamonds amid the perfect mille grain detail and hand engraved designs for the shank.
An exceptional oval faceted aquamarine of 3.5 carats is suffused with that clear, see-to-the-horizon light to medium sky blue that reminds one of halcyon days we all cherish. This has been added recently to the original Art Dec mounting.
Gently curved with classic flowing lines...the design, materials and outcome result in superb quality that is easily recognizable in an instant.
