The British have been marking silver, silver plate, and gold for centuries. While not everything was or is marked, if it is, and they are still visible and complete (there are often 4 or more symbols), then many charts or books allow you to date it to the year it was made.
This ring, albeit in amazing condition, was created back in 1895 so an astounding 130 years ago.
Two rubies and a diamond rest in tiny star-shaped wells, often termed gypsy set. An east-west marquise shape spans the finger with pie crest edges and deep patterns to the sides. It sits very low on the finger.
