Breathtaking in its beauty and masterful craftsmanship, a brooch of silver-topped 15k rose gold, garnets, and diamonds appears frozen in time.
A series of five natural garnets have been carved and precisely shaped into three-dimensional forms resembling the petals of a flower. Each flows with an undulating scalloped border.
Dotted with rose-cut diamonds, the pistils, and stamens shine with glittering abandon. Silver-topped rose gold leaves along the flower stem are also embedded with rose-cut diamonds.
A miniature artwork, it is so realistic, yet wearable for another 150 years and beyond.
Thirty-eight rose cut diamonds weigh in with an estimated .22 carats (I-K color range; SI1 clarity).
The reverse reveals the precious metal framework around the perimeter securing the carved garnet panels. Brooch fittings are placed along the back of the stem.
The brooch is presented within its original fitted antique leather box from S. J. Phillips of London, one of the premier antique jewelry dealers of the world established in 1869.
