Victorian in date, and in the tradition of Scottish jewelry popularized by Queen Victoria, comes this lively amethyst brooch pendant.
Eight intense and shimmery amethysts weigh a total of 8.0 carats. Each is set into a decorative coronet mount. A Scottish thistle of gold is centermost and topped with a faceted citrine.
Textured leaves and the bulb are engraved to mimic the architecture of the plant.
The setting is entirely 15k yellow gold. Its original pin stem is intact with a later safety clasp. Formerly a tiny fitting for a safety chain is evident on the reverse at the top. Just ask us to add (gratis) an "O" fitting to suspend this as a pendant.
