The early years of the Victorian era were referred to as the Romantic Period and rings of that time reflected that sensibility.
Feminine in appearance, this 15k yellow gold floral cluster ring has all the desired trappings.
A centered natural cushion cut ruby radiates its finery out to a multi-diamond aura. Two additional rubies flank the central oval on each side.
All the stones are set closed backed, and not only are there tiny serrations to the bezels, but granulation or petite orbs of gold imparting a lively surface to the whole. Engraved surfaces cover these shoulders and most of the shank except for the very back area.
Turn the ring over and an oval locket compartment is visible although the frame and glass are now gone with the winds of time.
