Can you believe you have discovered TWO carved moonstone baby faces set within a pair of earrings? Neither could we.
Brooches, rings, even those are beyond scarce. But earrings, well double delightful and nearly impossible to find.
Two youths, each hand carved and distinct, possess wavy hair, sweet eyes, and chubby cheeks. One in full smile, the other in a more reflective mood.
They are set in a 10k yellow gold surround of vibrant mauve and lilac amethysts that total 2.08 carats. Textured, the gold background is also serrated on the bezel and edges.
Another amethyst serves as a surmount for the shepherd's hook ear wires.
Each baby measures 8 x 7 mm and they are exquisitely carved in three-dimensional detail. The modern surmounts and hooks are created 14k.
