Story
Kilgharrah the dragon befriended and protected Merlin according to Arthurian legend. You too can tame your own dragon in this noble Art Nouveau gold and sapphire ring.
Grand in size, yet low if profile and comfortable for everyday wear, is this evocative 18k gold ring. Wending throughout its impressive design are both a dragon and a snake. The dragon is placed on one side with one wing shown behind it. As its nemesis, a serpent bends, and slithers on the opposing side. Below the sapphire, the snake’s open jaw reaches out to bite the dragon. Its ominous fang and tongue are present.
Indeed, this dragon may be a wyvern (wivern) for two feet are shown, one under and one appearing to push the snake away.
A bezel set; half carat cushion cut natural blue sapphire rests at the center of the dynamic duo.
Art Nouveau through and through, the "S" curves, asymmetrical design, and theme add to its allure. On the shoulder, organic and abstracted leaves the sides, then transitions to a shank that is one, but adorned to appear divided.
Unisex and gender fluid, this large-scale ring is appropriate for any.
Note: Typically, dragons possess four legs, wyvern's only two.
