Tassels, pendants, and fringe were everywhere you turned around 1900.
One of the more sensuous of these newer styles of jewels was the négligée necklace. Even the name connoted slinky and suggestive.
Its delicate form consisted of a fine chain with a pendant typically with three drops often ending at two or three different lengths.
This négligée necklace is French in origin and made of 18k yellow. Four aquamarines of scintillating blue are featured, each bezel set. One cushion cut and three ovals equal 2.25 carats of icy, sky-blue hues.
Belle Epoque beauty at its most alluring.
