For a 134-year-old ring, this one looks mighty fantastic and nearly like new.
While the amethyst was replaced in its recent history, a fine amethyst was chosen to balance the setting which displays a bounty of deeply carved roses, leaves, and designs.
A royal purple amethyst with vivacious sparkle and highlights is placed within a coronet or crown setting. So named as the "U" shapes and prongs that resemble the forms of many an actual royal crown.
In 9k yellow gold, the mounting's gallery and shoulders come alive with organic patterns and with the back half of the band polished and silky smooth. This is fully hallmarked with a date letter for 1888.
