Story

Oh, the 19th century sensibility...

This romantic three-piece parure of gold, diamonds, and enamel consists of a bangle bracelet, generous sized brooch, and earrings.

Each features hand painted enamels of Eros or cupid. The bracelet and brooch show them in full figure, chubby and angelic, holding a bow and arrow. The head and wings are depicted on each of the earrings.

A stylized buckle motif, Rococo swirls, buttercup settings with diamonds and hand engraving blend in harmony within this exceptional set.

Testing between 12 & 14k, the yellow gold is vibrant and silky smooth. In soft, fleshy pinks, inky black for the hair, blue and pink wings and red lips, those cherubim are exquisitely painted and do pierce the heart.

Two diamonds are gypsy set in star patterns, the remaining ones in buttercup mountings of gold. A total of .72 carats of old European and old mine cut diamonds accent the gold (H-I color, VS2-SI2 clarity).

A rare and fine set in original condition.
