Story
Convertible for wear either as a brooch or a pendant, this elegant bow shaped jewel was fashioned at the turn of the 20th century.
Combining 14K yellow gold, silver, diamonds, and royal blue sapphires, due to its sensitive design, appears almost to flutter in the wind with its twists and curves.
A pear or teardrop faceted natural blue sapphire of .85 carats, shows no evidence of any heat treatment. A standout for its coloration, it captivates with a hint of teal and cobalt blues. This also is accompanied by an EGL certificate no. 400135603D.
Three more round, no heat sapphires total another .45 carats for a total for all of 1.30 carats.
Forty-five diamonds bring an understated icy touch, with a total carat weight of 1.22 carats, color H-I, clarity SI1-3.
The pin fitting can be detached when worn as a pendant by a tiny turning dial. A fold up and down bale tucks behind the brooch or can be removed.
