Story
An ouroboros, or sometimes spelled uroboros, represents the image of a serpent or snake with its tail in its mouth and forming a continuous and unbroken circle.
Steeped in the impenetrable eons of history, the ouroboros has a fascinating and varied history. Linked to ancient cultures and traditions such as the Egyptians, Greeks, alchemists and Gnostics, it has been an emblem representing at various times the endless cycle of birth and rebirth, eternity, and unity.
Created in 18k yellow gold, this late Georgian example has been deeply chased with linear patterns all throughout the ring.
Imitating the scales of the snake, as well as its expressive head, mouth, and tiny eyes which are set with rose cut diamonds, it possesses a beautiful feel and visually captivating look. Rare and mystical.
