Story
An absolutely favorite color combo yet one that is rarely seen...peridot and amethyst. Yet strikingly terrific.
Bold and imaginative, a deep hued natural round and faceted amethyst sets up the center stage. At 16.4 mm or 11/16 inch in diameter and 13.75 carats, it is deeply saturated and faceted to perfection.
All around the edges, the layers of facets burst with lilac highlights. Lovely crown or coronet set; its hues compliment the six round faceted lemon-lime green peridots.
Each weighs a half a carat so in all, they add up to 3.0 carats. The original graduated and curvy bale and a setting in 18k yellow gold.
Dating to circa 1900, it is a great example of an Edwardian era color palette.
