Story

SPECIAL MARKDOWN! Exceptional Value!

Gracefully alighting on a shoulder or collar, this antique Georgian era butterfly brooch is formed of seven shaped gemstones.

Amethysts and citrines comprise the wings. An aquamarine, a swirled malachite cabochon and a pink-hued garnet form the body.

All are set open backed in 18k yellow gold for maximum color and radiance. Bezel set, their edges consist of tiny serrations and pointed prongs. Around the edges rest gold granules in either a group of three or one alone. These touches impart a delicacy and frilled effect to this charming flying insect.

The original tube hinge is still in place, the clasp has been changed to a safety style for added security. The pin fittings test at 10k gold. Pure English in sensibilities and workmanship.
