Story

It is unusual to come across a fine piece of tiger’s eye employed in 19th-century jewelry.

This striking bar brooch is one luscious, solid piece of stone with its display of variegated chocolate and caramel bands and its shifting patterns when turned.

End caps of 9k yellow gold are accented with hand-engraved, classical designs and tips of gold beads. Like a mysterious landscape, this semi-precious gemstone dances before your eyes...luscious.

Extra special is that it is still housed in its original antique box. The exterior is brown tooled paper with royal blue velvet and a cerulean blue silk interior. Imprinted in gold to the interior lid, "MacKay & Chisholm Goldsmiths 57. Prices Street, Edinburgh" (Scotland).
