Date: Circa 1880.

Measurements: Dragonfly is 1 3/8 inches long and 1 7/16 inches wide. Brooch area is 1 3/4 inches long. Weight of 8.1 grams.

Hallmarks: Several French horse's head marks, a maker's mark, possibly BU, and a bigorne mark.

Condition: Excellent, some minute wear to some of the sapphires visible with powerful magnification; pearl replaced.

Origin: French.
